CLARITY & PROTECTION
Light exposure and ultraviolet radiation can accelerate fading and damage, particularly in works on paper and other light-sensitive media. We specify framing glass and acrylic according to the requirements of the work, its setting, and the balance required between visibility, UV filtration, scale and safety.
Artglass AR 70™
An anti-reflective glass with 70% UV protection, suited to works where clarity and neutral colour transmission are the priority and a lighter level of UV filtration is appropriate.
Artglass AR 92™
An anti-reflective glass with 92% UV protection, offering a higher level of conservation protection while maintaining strong optical clarity and neutral colour transmission.
Artglass AR 99™ Water White
The clearest glass option in the range, combining a low-iron substrate with anti-reflective coatings and 99% UV protection. With reflections reduced to around 1%, it is well suited to light-sensitive works where both visibility and protection are important.
Artglass Lifetime Acrylic™
A lightweight, shatter-resistant anti-reflective acrylic with 99% UV protection. Anti-static and scratch-resistant, it is specified for large-scale works, deep shadow boxes and pieces intended for transport or international transit.
