MOUNTING

MOUNTING
TYPES
WINDOW
Window mounting is a classic way to add depth and space around the artwork from the glass and the frame itself. It also works well if framing different sizes and styles of artwork as the window enables standardisation of border colour and sizes, giving a more cohesive look once installed.
FLOAT
Floating objects and artworks in a box frame gives a sense of purpose and tends to separate the frame from the object itself giving plenty of scope for creative solutions to display.
FABRICS
Hand-wrapped linen mounts create a truly bespoke and unique way to present artworks. Linens and silks can be wrapped around a window mount or floated on top, both of which create an elegant aesthetic.
STRAIGHT - IN
This method is straight forward and in the title, the piece will go into the edge of the frame without any mounting, this can be a good option when no extra space is required around the piece, particularly nice with posters.
MUSEUM BOARDS
Rising 100% cotton fibre museum board is the worldwide leading brand in conservation grade boards. They are acid, lignin and chlorine free while being pH neutral. They’re buffered with calcium carbonate to give an extra layer of protection to any artwork it comes into contact with.
